IBEX - Precision Hunting GmbH
Manufacturers of lead-free hunting ammunition in Austria:
IBEX manufactures CNC turned bullets. CNC manufacturing on machines has the great advantage of being able to reduce manufacturing tolerances to a minimum and also being able to implement any change or variant at short notice. IBEX manufactures in the range of a few 1/1000 mm. This brings precision that ultimately contributes significantly to hunting success.
Pressing tools are subject to a certain influence of various factors that are difficult to correct. Tool wear can only be corrected with new tools. Technically obsolete types are produced for as long as possible because the tools are very expensive.
Twisted copper bullets often shoot more precisely than many of the pressed lead-free hunting bullets because of their better concentricity around the axis of rotation. Pressed parts are pressed lengthways into a mold and, depending on the degree of wear and the oil film in the cavity, there are deviations that can ultimately affect the precision.
Copper in a suitable alloy can only be processed to the desired precision on CNC machines with a lot of experience and know-how. iBEX produces its own melts for this purpose in order to be able to achieve the highest possible quality.
